FAQs

  • Do you have a minimum order size?
There is no minimum order size, but we do have a minimum charge of 20 NZD (which is approximately 14.50 USD) to cover administrative costs. If you have several small documents, you might consider putting them all in one, in order to get the best value for your money.
  • How much does it cost?
We have an easy pricing system with no surprises and it is based on an hourly rate. We will take a sample and check how long it takes to proofread. Then, we will send you a quote based on your word count and the time needed to complete the task. This is the fixed price and you can be confident that this is what you will pay, unless the document you send differs substantially from the sample provided. To determine your word count in MS Word, go to the Review tab or Tools menu and select Word Count. If you want your footnotes/endnotes to be edited, make sure to check the option to include footnotes and endnotes in the word count. Should your initial word count be different to that of the document sent to us, then the quote will be adjusted accordingly.
  • When do I pay?
You submit your payment at the same time you place your order, after you have received and accepted our quote. As soon as your payment has been approved, we begin our work. To ensure that there are no delays in processing your order and getting a revised document back to you, please make every effort to provide an accurate word count. We will double check this.
  • What types of files do you accept for editing and proofreading?
We prefer to receive a document in a word processing file like MS Word. This allows us to use Track Changes, which shows you what changes have been suggested. It is then up to you to accept them or not. The document will be returned to you with corrections added and comments, suggestions or questions for you to consider.
  • How long will it take?
The quote will specify the time schedule and we will make every effort to finish before the final date given. Typically, a document of about 10,000 words would take about 5-7 days. This depends on the type of work to be done and the number of corrections to be made. If you need something done urgently then we can discuss your time frame and send a quote based on that.
  • I live in another country. Can you still edit and proofread my document?
Yes, AddClarity can offer services to people around the world. All you need is a valid PayPal account and you can use our services.
  • My document is too big to send by email. Can I send it by post?
Yes, you can send the document on a USB to our postal address. We will return it with the amended document for you to compare to the original.
  • Do you check for plagiarism?
No, we don’t check for plagiarism and we don’t rewrite or paraphrase work. Please refer to your institution's guidelines for what can be offered when checking academic work such as a thesis. It is important to avoid any possibility of academic fraud and we will abide by the rules of your academic institution.
